Opening in 1985, The Moon is one of Tallahassee’s premier concert venues that hosts all music from country to hip hop, rock and jazz, R&B, and more. It has been home to Florida music legends such as Billie Dean, Jimmy Buffet, Dereck Trucks, George Clinton, Gregg Allman, and John Anderson as well as international groups like Hall & Oats, The Temptations, Willie Nelson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Ramones, and countless others. Outside of concerts, The Moon also hosts benefit events that help out local organizations, international relief organizations, the Big Bend area, and many more.
